Charles Rawson, aka mr.charlie, began working in clay in his high school days .  This perhaps went back to his earliest childhood when he and friends made mud pies. The texture and smell of the clay/earth still draws him to creating.  Charles over the years has joined with other ceramicists in workshops and co-ops to explore glaze making and native clays.  mr.charlie has offered an arts exploration program for youth, Clay Play, over the last eight years. Much of his clay work has now evolved into non-functional pieces fired in raku/sawdust procedures.
