Kirsten Meier

I have been drawing, painting and designing as long as I can remember. In 1982 I immigrated to the US, Denver area, then in 1995 to Tri-Cities, WA. In 1988 I used watercolors and fell in love with this brilliant medium. I painted on and off while raising a kid and managing a successful career. In July 2019 I retired; finally, I could do what I wanted to do without worry about the next paycheck. I started up again with watercolors, and in 2021 learned using oils, too. In honor of my grandfather Walter Wolf, I started KKWolf-Studio in 2025. My website will provide you with a lot more background of my paintings. I like COLOR, and realistic paintings with a touch of impressionism and a lot of feelings. My favored painters are Edgar Payne, Franz Marc and Carl Spitzweg and I paint mastercopies. But what really fascinates me is the play of light and shadow, wherever I can find it, in a landscape, bouquet of flowers or a person’s portrait.
