Color and movement - - that's what I feel is important to have in my oil paintings. I have always admired the artistic style of Charlie Russell, one of the most notable western cowboy artists.

Growing up on cattle ranches in Texas and California gave me the opportunity to observe precise details of horses and cattle. I also own several Quarter Horses. I strive to capture the working relationship between the cowboy and his horse.
